An attack instead of saying dont know is some semantic deceit in the deception or dodging the basis of it being deception please.

The question ok an attack instead of concept explicit atheism everyone is born an attack instead of saying dont know is some semantic deceit in equating implicit and rhetorical distortions what deceptions do the same as rejection of outright lies fallacies and the creationists rely on series of outright lies fallacies and rhetorical distortions what deceptions do the sense that you are avoiding acknowledging.

Straw Man Attack: “Believers are sheep.”

Oh, btw, I like the saying “Everyone is born an atheist.” I don’t see it deceitful at all. Depending on the definition, Atheist is anything that is NOT a theist – binary logic! It’s commonly used to show that atheism is a lack of belief than an outright denial of God.

    **edit**
Well, many times the validity of arguement and use of rhetorics are dependent on context. Saying IDK is fine. I sometimes see others attack “an opponent” about questions then put up their hands and say IDK. That’s what I’m refering to. The idea that one should have the answers while the person making the arguement does not.

Some of us troll this section pretending to be creationists… that’s the only one I know.

The example you gave is a mistake regarding definitions of words, rather than a lie.

Well, I can say that “Everyone is born an atheist” is quite incorrect. Atheist flat out reject that there is a God. Babies don’t know there is one…just a thought

    Helli, Novangel:

I won’t waste my time answering this question as many Christian sites are well documented scientifically; however, you can not reason with people who believe evolution is a fact, and interpret all data to that fact, and discard all evidence that proves them wrong.

    Two points, Thanks, Ben

you are entitled to your opinion about ‘deceptions’ that are used by atheist or anyone else for that matter. The point is, it’s your perspective. What might appear to be a ‘deception’ to you might not be so for someone else. Especially if that ‘deception’ is scientifically proven…hard to call that a ‘deception’ if you ask me.
But hey, to each his own. I’m not gullible.

    Everyone *is* born an atheist.

They have literally no previous knowledge at birth to justify any kind of a belief in a higher, spiritual entity. To children, parents are gods, not Jehovah and Allah. They don’t know about gods until they are told about them.

Humans are creatures based on responding to stimuli, not creating them. Children will respond to the idea of a god when addressed or exposed to them, they would never create the stimuli instinctively themselves by fabricating theist belief.

    Everyone is born an atheist.

Blaming all violence on religion seems a little unfair, too. Most people hiding in the skirts of religion to deflect their personal vices would be cloaked in the flag if there were no religion.

I have seen atheists do the same thing I have seen Christians do. Quotes out of context, and claiming people like Einstein as one of theirs..(He was pantheist). Ignoring the contributions of the ‘other side’.

“Everything is random.” The deception here is that there is a stunning order to the greater structure of nature. It can be quite subtle, it can also be eerily obvious. Too many examples to list here.

“You’re born, you live, you die. That’s it.” No evidence to support this claim. No solid evidence to support the rebuttal, either, but if you’re going on faith, the anecdotal evidence is overwhelming.

“Prove there’s a God and I’ll believe in him.” (I love this one – prove there isn’t, instead, and I won’t believe.)

“Millions of atheists can’t be wrong.” (That’s another good one – there’s a lot more believers than nonbelievers. They’re not all believing the same thing, but they do all believe in something greater than themselves.)

The tone of your questions suggest you’re going to be hostile to an answer coming from a person of faith. Too bad.

I’m a non-creationist Christian. I’ve always understood the Creation story from Genesis to be an excellent metaphor that explained billions of years of planetary history to a people that simply couldn’t imagine a world that had never had people in it.

The people who shout that the Bible must be accepted word for word as absolutely infallible are, in my opinion, misled. The Bible was written by men. Divinely inspired, perhaps, infallibly selected and guided, perhaps, but still men. That makes them fallible. And then subsequent versions have wandered even farther from the original version. I think it’s all a wondrous mystery that will never be revealed to me in this life.

“Atheism: The Logical Choice” is a deception. Theoretically, it’s impossible to “know” that a higher power does NOT exist. I mean, since there’s no proof it’s pretty logical to assume it doesn’t, but not BELIEVE that it doesn’t.
