If the college admits you, that implies you can do the course. The college has more experience than you and I in this course. No one writes a 500 line program on their first day. May be a five line one. Once you learn OOPS, you will find it easy to write 5,000 line or 50,000 line programs also.

I would be tempted to say that you will probably have some trouble with this course. It won’t be impossible, but compiler design is pretty hairy and to get the most out of it, some heavy programming is useful. But don’t let me discourage you, if you put in the effort (there may be a lot) it will very much pay off for you.
