Drupal is an open source content management system that is changing the way businesses, individuals, and organizations present themselves online. Open source means its code is available to use and modify free of charge. This, along with its advanced functionality, translates to a powerful, innovative social publishing solution that is very cost effective. __
Chances are you’ve heard the term Drupal, or you have read about it recently. But, you may not be sure exactly what it is or even how to pronounce it. First the pronunciation: DREW-pull. Drupal is an open source content management system that is changing the way businesses, individuals, and organizations present themselves online. Open source means its code is available to use and modify free of charge. This, along with its advanced functionality, translates to a powerful, innovative solution that is very cost effective. Simply visit Drupal.org to download the latest version. Before you do that, however, you’ll probably want to know a bit more about Drupal and what it can do for you. What is Drupal?
Firstly, Drupal is a content management system. Put simply, a CMS allows an individual or enterprise to create, edit, manage, search, and publish content on the web. Drupal can do all this, and more. What truly makes Drupal special is its ability to act as a social publishing system. Social networks have participative features like blogs, wikis, or forums where anyone can contribute—social publishing is really about connecting people. Drupal has all the functionality of a CMS, but allows users to create advanced applications for social interaction as well. Secondly, Drupal is open source software, which by definition means that anyone can use it, change it, and distribute it freely. Examples of open source software you may be familiar with are Apache, Java, Firefox, or Facebook. There are a few different types of open source software, but one thing the most successful ones, like Drupal, have in common is what Roy Felding has termed “open architecture.” This means that the core architecture serves as a platform to support any additions that a user might make to increase the software’s functionality, based on their specific needs. The project team ensures the security and continuity of the platform and that any extensions that the community develops are compatible with one another. Also, as continual improvements to the base structure are made, the functionality of any add-ons is preserved. So together, these two aspects make Drupal a lean, mean, website-building machine. Drupal is basically a “website in a box,” ready to go from the moment you download it, and is designed so those who use it do not need to have HTML knowledge. Drupal’s core platform has a certain functionality, and advanced features are packaged in “modules.” Currently, Drupal comes with some 1,200 modules, which can be disabled per the user’s needs. If you decide you don’t need some of the modules, you can simply turn them off. Because Drupal is open source, the community is constantly developing and sharing new modules. The open architecture model will ensure that everyone can implement everyone else’s modules along with their own, without affecting the core functionality. Because of the compatibility of these interchangeable parts (modules), one can combine them however they wish to create a custom website tailored exactly to their needs.
There are basic modules that allow you to control the color of the text or the layout of your home page. But there are also modules that allow you to create multi-user blogs, forums, voting widgets, questionnaires, podcasts, and picture and video galleries. You can manage lists, directories, events, and statistics. You can build a corporate website, community portal, or e-commerce website—the possibilities are endless. Last, but certainly not least, Drupal is a community. Over 1.5 million people downloaded Drupal last year, and the number continues to rise. Drupal.org offers education and support to this active community and hosts hundreds of user groups where users connect and contribute. Benefits of using Drupal
It’s easy to see why Drupal continues to gain popularity. In short,
• It’s free.
• It’s easy. No HTML required. Build powerful websites with little effort.
• It’s the best of both: a CMS with the ability to build dynamic social websites.
• It’s up to you. With over a thousand modules to choose from, create the website you want. And, whenever you need to, change the design or content without going through someone else.
• It’s safe. Different levels of access are available for different admin users and Drupal’s security is top-notch.

Who uses Drupal? Over 100,000 thousand people download Drupal each month, everyone from individuals, to small business owners, to corporate web developers. Yahoo!, Forbes, Harvard University, Greenpeace, Amnesty International, The Onion, Lifetime Television, SonyBMG, Best Buy, and the Kentucky Derby have all gone Drupal. Some of these organizations use Drupal for their front-end web presence, while others use it for projects such as intranets, forums, blogs and podcasting. Is Drupal for You? Though more and more organizations are going Drupal, you’ll want to evaluate the system. Here are some things to consider:
• Implementation and Support: Have a plan in place. Who will implement your project? Who will help other users manage the project? Become familiar with Drupal forums and documentation, and assign the implementation and support tasks to a member of your IT staff.
• Research: Speak with other organizations who are using Drupal as their web content management system. Find out what the product’s strengths and weaknesses are before you begin your project.
• Scalability: What type of project do you plan to use Drupal for? Will you be creating a blog, an intranet or a complete web presence? Evaluate the ways in which your project team will use Drupal to achieve these goals.
Once you have researched and planned your project, you will be ready to join the vast community of organizations, businesses, and individuals now using Drupal. Commercial Support for Drupal
As a member of the global Drupal community,Acquia, Inc.helps accelerate Drupal usage by contributing to the advancement of the core platform. They also recognize that as the Drupal continues to advance, the community requires more support to fully take advantage of what Drupal can do. Acquia offers products, services and technical support to simplify the deployment and management of Drupal websites. Acquia Drupal combines the Drupal core with a unique collection of modules, designed specifically to simplify the development of social publishing applications. The Acquia Network is an operations portal for managing Drupal web sites, offering site developers and administrators remote network services and professional technical support.
The Future of Drupal The term Web 2.0 has been used to refer to the latest developments in internet technology and design, more specifically referring to collaboration, information sharing, and social networking. Drupal as a social publishing platform has been a big part of making this possible. It’s exciting to think of how Drupal will be involved in the next phase, Web 3.0. Part of this hypothetical next phase is the idea of the semantic web, involving the evolution of data exchange. There is a wealth of data on the world wide web but it is not universally accessible. Data may be stored in a language humans can’t read, and vice versa. Applications may not be able to communicate or share data with one another because they are written in different languages. The goal is to have data truly connected in a web, in a language everyone can read. While certain permissions would be assigned to your digital identity, you could access any information, on any mobile device, from anywhere. The internet could satisfy any request for information from either human or machine. Because of its architecture and the way data is stored, Drupal could effectively support this movement towards true data mobility. By incorporating semantic technology to Drupal core, Drupal will make a notable contribution to the future of the web.

Clip 3/4 Speaker: Mummoorthy Murugesan · Purdue University Query-based web search is becoming an integral part of many people's daily activities. Most do not realize that their search history can be used to identify them (and their interests). In July 2006, AOL released an anonymized search query log of some 600K randomly selected users. While valuable as a research tool, the anonymization was insufficient: individuals could be identified from the contents of the queries alone Government requests for such logs serves to increase the concern. To address this problem, we propose a client-centered approach of plausibly deniable search. Each user query is substituted with a standard, closely-related query intended to fetch the desired results. In addition, a set of k-1 cover queries are issued; these have characteristics similar to the standard query but on unrelated topics. The system provides a property that any of these k queries will produce the same of set of k queries, giving k possible topics the user could have been searching for. We use Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) based technique to generate queries, and evaluate on the DMOZ webpage collection to show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. For more information go to the Cerias website (bit.ly

              How to Make a Resume

Because of the volume of resumes employers receive; most of them now use some kind of resume tracking or applicant tracking system. This automates many of the tasks necessary for tracking candidates, and also makes it possible for an employer to find a resume they received months or years later. As a result of the technologies used, its important to keep your resume in a certain format that will be correctly read and interpreted by the systems. This used to be referred to as a "scannable" resume because of the hardware that used to scan paper resumes into the computer. Now, career websites and resumes received via email are "parsed" and stored in a database.
Once your resume is stored electronically, employers use keywords to match the stored resumes with their open positions. In order to find the resumes, employers (and recruiters) use keyword searches, usually a boolean search.
Because of the technologies involved in parsing the resume, it is important to keep the format of your resume very simple and somewhat plain. This means that you should generally avoid fancy fonts, graphics and and other "special effects" that don’t always make it through the technologies correctly, at least for your electronic resume (you might want a more elaborate version to hand out at job fairs, but it really isn't necessary). A resume that is not formatted correctly won’t appear in a search for matching keywords, which greatly reduces your chances of landing interviews. I have seen some resumes come through with "gibberish" as a result of the writer trying to use charts or pictures on their resume.

Resume Format >>>
Here are some practical tips for formatting your resume:
• Use a simple font. Do not use a decorate font. Times New Roman and Arial parse most accurately and are the "standard" fonts for business communication, which your resume is.
• Use a standard font size. For business communications, fonts of 10 and 12 points are the norm.
• Avoid using charts, pictures, tables or graphs in your resume. These rarely make it through. If you have information that needs to be in that format, consider an addendum to your resume or, perhaps, a web page that you have created that stores the information, with a link to the web page from your resume.
• If you are applying for a job where it's important to show off your formatting or creative skills to land a job, such as a Web Designer or Graphic Artist position, distribute copies of your fancy paper resume at interviews. Better yet, send both a fancy and plain resume format, or create a fancy Web resume and portfolio, and include the URL in your emailed resume or cover letter
Technical Resumes - Tips, Samples, Examples and Templates

Your resume remains one of the most important components of your job search. A well written resume that gives the employer an accurate view of your skills will help you stand out from the crowd. Here are links to some of my favorite resume tips, resume samples and free resume templates. I have also included links to some actual resumes of employees I have hired in the past for various technical companies.

Resume Writing Tips - How Not To Write a Resume
A recent poll of technical recruiters and hiring managers asked for the top "pet peeves" - things they see on resumes and cover letters that make them less interested in speaking with a candidate. These make great examples of how not to write your resume.
• Use of the current "tense" in all jobs on the resume.
• Writing the resume or cover letter in the third person.
• Too many grammar and spelling mistakes.
• Use of tiny, tiny fonts (10 pt or less) so as to cram as much information into the resume as possible.
• Photos on resumes (this is a cultural preference).
• A listing of their personal interests and activities.
• Sending a resume attachment named 41808res.doc - use your name or descriptive label.
• Writing the resume using table formats (columns).
• Using a resume that is password protected (without sending the password).
• Including references - but not professional ones - just friends and co-workers.
• Having no contact information on the resume or including a phone number that is no longer valid.
• When a candidate's email address is not appropriate for the work environment. Example: BigFoxyMama@.com
• Resumes that are too long. Most seem to feel that general descriptions pertaining to work history for the last 10 years is sufficient.
• Resume stuffing, for example, listing of every software application you've ever touched as a "skill".
• Education written so its not clear if the degree was obtained.
• Job hopping, which could be contract positions but it's not explained. (If you have been on short term contracts, make sure you clarify that they are contract jobs).

Top 7 Tips for Effective Resumes
Ever hear the saying "you never get a second chance to make a first impression?" Your resume gives a potential employer a powerful message about what kind of employee you would be. With only a few seconds to capture the attention of the reader and showcase your extensive skills, you need to make the most of your resume. Read on for resume tips and tricks.
1. Resume Tip 1: Spell Check and "Reality Check"
Before you submit your resume, make sure you give it a spell check using your word processing software. After you spell check it, have someone else give it a quick "reality check" to make sure that the spell checker didn't miss anything and to make sure that you didn't make a mistake that your computer can't catch. It is important that you get a second set of eyes to look over the document that could be responsible for your next job.
2. Resume Tip 2: Not Too Long, But Not Too Short
How long should your resume be? This is always a tough call. Some experts believe a one page resume is the perfect length. I would disagree, unless you really have few skills and experiences to share. Go into enough detail to give an accurate view of your skills, but not so long that the reader falls asleep. You do not need to list every project you have ever worked on. Summarize, but be inclusive.
3. Resume Tip 3: Formatting Counts
Have 2 versions of your resume available. One to be viewed online, and one to be handed out at in-person interviews and job fairs. Fancy formatting with pretty fonts, lines, boxes and bullet points just does not make it through on most computers. Anything you send or submit online should have very basic formatting (spacing and paragraph breaks, for example).
4. Resume Tip 4: Keywords are Key
When an employer searches a database, they use keywords. In general, they expect the results to be representative of what they are searching for. This should mean a couple of things to the resume writer:
• Include relevant keywords in your resume, because this is how you will be found.
• Don't stuff your resume with keywords that are not relevant of your experience. A list of keywords that do not represent your expertise should be avoided.

Check out How to Make a Resume for more on keywords.
5. Resume Tip 5: Include the Basics
A technical resume should include the following information sections.
• An objective: 1-2 sentences describing what you want, customize this for the job you are applying for.
• Education: Any degrees you have completed or are working on, as well as relevant classes or certifications. Only include your GPA if it is very high.
• Experience: List your past employers and/or major projects you have worked on. Start with the most recent.
• Technology Summary: List only the technologies you know well.
6. Resume Tip 6: Have Multiple Versions
If you are in more than one role (or have skills that may fit more than one role) you should have multiple versions of your resume available that highlight those skills. For example, if you have years of experience as a software engineer, and also have project management expertise, have two resumes: one highlighting your software engineer experience and another highlighting your project management experience.
7. Resume Tip 7: Make Your Resume Viewable
Recruiters and hiring managers like to search and "source" for candidates. If your resume (or bio) is not someplace where an employer can find it, then they don't know you exist. In addition to the regular job boards.

Resume Writing - Guidelines for New Grads

Resume Writing – A Guide for New Grads

Purpose of Resume Writing
When you are writing your resume, it is important to keep in mind the purpose of the resume. The resume is meant to spark interest in you as a candidate. Your resume writing should be with the intent to get an interview, not a job offer. It is not meant to list every single course, skill or accomplishment you have. Remember, resumes get interviews, not jobs.
The resume should do the following:
Create a positive first impression. This is done by showcasing your communication skills and making the resume easy to read. The resume should be succinct and easy to follow.
Tell who you are. When you are writing your resume, you are telling the reader who you are and why they should consider you for a position.
Describe what you have learned. Especially for a new grad, your resume should highlight the courses and projects that are applicable for the job you hope to be hired for.
List your accomplishments. Your resume should highlight any special accomplishments you have achieved. If you made a 4.0 while working full time, were awarded a special scholarship, or received special recognition of some kind, it should be listed under your accomplishments.
In order to make your resume pleasant and easy to read, you will want to follow some resume format guidelines. The resume format is important because you want to make sure to keep the reader’s interest and, ultimately, be called for the interview. A poorly formatted resume, one that is hard to read, contains many errors, or doesn’t flow well, is not likely to accomplish your goal.
Resume Format – General Guidelines
The following guidelines follow typical resume format and business letter writing standards. These a general resume format rules:
• Font size of 10 or 12
• Perfectly typed with about a 1 inch margin (even if sending via email, since it will likely be printed out)
• Use only one font. You may vary size for emphasis, if necessary.
• Do not use different font styles. If you need to call attention to something, you can bold it, but use this sparingly.
• Avoid all-capital letters and italics as they are difficult to read.
Resume Format - Section Titles
• Begin your resume with a heading which includes your name, address, phone number and email address. This is usually centered at the top or left justified.
• Omit personal information such as age, sex, or marital status.
• The resume objective states the position type you are seeking. It looks very professional if you tailor the objective to the position you are applying for. Other than that, don't make this section too narrow.
• A well organized technical skills or career skills section can be placed after the objective. This should include skills in which you are at least proficient.
• The education section should identify your training by listing the university(s) attended with degree(s) conferred, major, and grade point average.
• The work experience section comes next and details the most recent positions or areas of expertise first and continues in reverse chronological order. Project experience can be listed here if you don't have any formal work experience. I also see many graduates add internships and their larger projects in this section.
• The accomplishments section comes last and highlights specific areas in which you have excelled, including leadership activities, memberships, and honors or awards.
Before Writing Your Resume
Before you sit down to write your resume, it is helpful to think through a couple of points. The first is to think in keyword terms, because employers will use them to search for resumes.
Some general keyword examples:
• Ability to ... (delegate, supervise, etc.), analytical ability, detail oriented, problem solving, results oriented, communication skills, team leader, lead
Some technology industry examples:
• Software, systems, UNIX, Linux, SQL, Oracle, java, .NET, Operating System, CAD, Mechanical systems, Design, OO Programming, SDLC, coded, programmed, administered, engineer, programmer, developer, network, Cisco, Microsoft
Tips for Resume Design
The following tips for resume design will help ensure that your resume is easy to read and can be parsed to a resume database properly.
• Keep the resume design simple. Using a standard resume template will help with this.
• Use standard font styles (Times New Roman and Arial are standard.
• Use a font size from 10 to 14. Font sizes of 10 and 12 are standard, with some titles and headings in a larger font.
• Avoid 'fancy' styles (italics, underline, bold, fancy fonts etc.).
• Do not use horizontal or vertical lines, graphics, charts, tables or boxes. They don't parse well to resume databases and they often print out looking funky.
• Use bold fonts for section headings.
• Use common names for section headings (i.e., Education, Experience, Technical Sills, etc.)
• Put your name at the beginning of the resume, with contact information on separate lines, immediately following the name. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to have to read through the entire resume to find an email or phone number.
• Avoid abbreviations, except for popular acronyms.
• Be concise in your descriptions of projects and work experience. Longer is not necessarily better!
After the Resume
After the resume is written, make sure to proofread. See these Resume Tips for more ideas that will help ensure your resume gives the best first impression possible!
Print the resume out, to see how it looks for a manager that might prefer hard copies. Adjust any spacing as necessary. You will want printed resume copies to take with you to job fairs and interviews.
Sample Resume - Experienced New Grad Resume Sample
Resume Sample - New Grad
This resume sample is from an experienced new grad.

Web 2.0 drastically changed and enhanced the World Wide Web technology in terms of how people collaborate, making information much easier to share, making web design and publishing easier, and simplifying other web functionalities. It brought about a new internet revolution that led to a new and improved way of developing internet based communities and the group’s hosted services. Web 2.0 made it significantly easier for groups to come together in creating and maintaining social networking websites, wiki’s, blogs, folksonomies, and video sharing websites. The term Web 2.0 co notates new and updated version of the World Wide Web, it is so for end users like web developers and bloggers, but not in technical stipulations.

Web 2.0 enables users to do a lot more than just view and retrieve information. Before Web 2.0, traditional websites limited visitor access to just viewing a page where only the website owner can make changes and modifications to his site. With Web 2.0 today, other users that were previously only classified as viewers, are now able to apply changes and add to the contents of the website, depending on the level of access that the site may allow. Data build on Web 1.0 facilities can be used on the Web 2.0 site via the browser. Software applications and user friendly interface based on OpenLaszlo, Ajax, Flex, and other media rich platforms are featured on Web 2.0 sites.

Web 2.0 is continuously evolving and improving technology infrastructures of content syndication, server software, messaging procedures, browser plug-ins and extensions, and numerous other client applications. Web 2.0 sites have various complementary methods of storing information, content creation, and content distribution that is far more easy and simple than in the previous Web 1.0 platform.

A number of the fundamental features or techniques that Web 2.0 sites include are as follows:
1. Cascading Style Sheets otherwise known as CSS - for better presentation and separation of content
2. Folksonomies - for collaborating in social classification, social tagging, and social indexing
3. Microformats - for expanding pages with supplementary semantics
4. REST or XML - for JSON-based APIs
5. Rich Internet application techniques - like Ajax, Flex, or Flash based
6. Semantically valid XHTML and HTML
7. Aggregation, Syndication and notification of data – for RSS and Atom feeds
8. Content merging, mashups, client and server side
9. Web blog publishing tools
10. Wiki and forum software - to support and encourage user generated content
11. Social networking - for linking users to other users and user-generated content to users

Although many if not most Web 2.0 sites utilize AJAX or DHTML effects, it is not a requirement for a site to function, but it would definitely improve functions on Web 2.0 websites. Web 2.0 does not also refer to visual design elements that are commonly seen on well known Web 2.0 sites, like drop shadows or non pointed corners. The correlation was most likely brought about by designer preference that was popularized around the same time of the rapid success of the new platform known as the Web 2.0 explosion.

Bing back my Baby to me – Microsoft to enter the race for more sophisticated search on the internet

In the last few years we have seen several companies and research institutions take up the battle on information flow on the internet and convert it into useful knowledge for the users around the world.

Google became in a short period of time the market leader of search engines and through its business model, creates a healthy return to its stock owners. However, things are changing on the internet. Users are changing as well, as they become more sophisticated and more demanding of what they want from the internet. This will require some development in how we do searches as well. Search for knowledge either its personal or corporate interests, has challenges as it stands today.

Companies are in need to do more sophisticated knowledge hunt in order to satisfy their business intelligence needs, and individuals are in quest for knowledge in areas like medicine, travels and other personal matters.

All this makes a search for authentic and quality information very important. The use of semantics and mathematic relations to sort out the information available and transform it into knowledge has been tried by several parties in the last 5 years.

So, now Microsoft takes up the challenge again and says Bing and Decide. And Microsoft is to take up the competition with Google.

Microsoft will initiate its search engine Bing and will enter into a competition with the major search engine Google.

Microsoft has tried before with MSN Search and Live Search without success and no threat to Google at all.

Microsoft is charging ahead according to Wall Street Journal with a more effective search engine because it searches deeper into the web pages to find the search string you look for.

The name is supposed to be an important key to success as well. The name BING is short and easy to say and will work worldwide on all types of domains says Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer.

The advertisement budget is on around 100 million Dollars, and we just have to wait and see how effective it will be and how well received the search engine Bing will be.

So if you can not Google it, Microsoft will help you bing it to you!

Bing it to me baby!

The question is what do you want and how do you want it? Harvesting the web for information has been around us for decades now. However, its been a changing arena with various engines to achieve this for us and now the market leader Google has been our main provider for some years. Will it last? My answer to this is a clear no. The competitors are arriving and will provide the information harvesters amongst us with more comprehensive tools in near future, and some are already there for us.

The latest news is that Microsoft will launch its new search engine called Bing on June 3, and prepares to compete more effectively with Google. I question that Google is the main competition at the moment or should be regarded as the main competitor when it comes to harvesting information on the web and other sources.

While Google invented the advertising-based search model, which produces most popular items for each query, Microsoft is aiming to change the search game by calling Bing a “decision engine” , which will offer more insights to users for helping them take decisions, and not necessarily throw the most popular and relevant items.

“We are introducing a new level of organization to search results, and our differentiator will be the best results for query,” Satya Nadella, senior vice- president (R&D , online services division) Microsoft told the media.

So Google are getting more competitors by the day, are they for real or will they just vanish into the shadow like the rest of them? Will Google be the king of the hill for the foreseen future, or will it meet its make sooner or later?

Cuil has made an effort, as break away people of Google try to launch their version of a search engine.

www.cuil.com

WolframeAlpha is making an effort to convert your searches into knowledge search and claims to be a computational knowledge search engine.

http://www.wolframalpha.com/screencast/introducingwolframalpha.html

Hakia is another knowledge search engine which claims to be an ontological semantic and natural language processing (NLP) based search engine.

Inxight SmartDiscovery Awareness Server claims to discover the right information quickly, when you need it. It is a federated search solution for integrated and logical composite of a variety of information sources, including internet, deep web, and subscription content as well as documents, data and records repositories, such as Google Search appliance and Oracle Secure Enterprise Search installations.

Tracking your searches is a topic of interest for the genuine researcher, who should be careful revealing what he works on and does not want to have others looking into what his interests are at a given point of time. This could be due to the sensitivity of his searches and the research he is doing or it could simply be that he does not want to be used in any advertisement campaign.

Therefore we see other capability technologies to add on to the search engines like Kapow Technologies which provide Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) Data Collection and the vanguard of new data access capabilities for extracting web data, whether inside or outside the firewall. The term "open" refers to overt, publicly available sources (as opposed to covert or classified sources). Kapow enables the analysts and IT to reliably and surgically extract web data without time-consuming coding, scripting or unreliable screen-scraping. Kapow arms intelligence, defense and civilian agencies with capabilities to extract web data from any source with a new level of accuracy. These new capabilities can feed it into any data structure, application, search tool (Endeca, Chiliad, Google Search Applicance, Inxight, etc) Business Intelligence (Business Objects, Cognos, Hyperion, SaaS,etc) or Analytic model (Palantir, Thetus, Inxight, Autonomy, Language Weaver, NetOwl, Agent Logic, etc.)

http://kapowtech.com/

Are we on the threshold of a new generation of search engines, that will serve the purpose of special interest groups or researches in need of more knowledge, for the decision makers that will need to information to make their decisions?

It certainly looks like due to the expanding volume of information available on the internet, there is a need to be more intelligent in how to get hold of the right information at the right time for the right people.

Smart search has been a term for a long time, and it seems like it becomes more and more important as the explosion of information is overwhelming and the verification and quality control of the information available on the internet will be more and more important to the users.

Converting information to knowledge has become a huge challenge on the internet, corporate intranets and even in your local network at home. The amount of information stored in today’s society is enormous, and each individual will need a way to search their information stored in an effective way to find what they need and nothing more.

Google is the first generation of global search engine, and we enter the era of the second generation search engines that will become the knowledge engine.

We still remain to see the optimal web harvesting solution that is intuitive and accessable to the normal web user, either he is corporate or personal. Harvesting the web for the knowledge available there is a huge task, however it seems to come at a price to the users at the moment, and the price is too high for most of them. We have already begun to create an upper class of information hunters on the web, namely those corporates or rich individuals that can afford to use the existing tools available to search for knowledge in the open space around us, the web.

He has written a few fictional novels as well as being the author of some professional litterature within oil and gas sector, he is now an editor of some web sites.

Clip 4/4 Speaker: Mummoorthy Murugesan · Purdue University Query-based web search is becoming an integral part of many people's daily activities.
